MANIA
Por Fred Rubin
Necesitaría Prozac de 10 mil miligramos
Y una camisa de fuerza con 40 mil candados
Y un electro shock con dos millones de vatios
Y una celda solitaria como bóveda de banco
Coro:
Y yo no se
Que voy a hacer sin tu querer
Yo sé que voy a enloquecer
Si tu no estas más a mi lado mi vida
Renunciare
A la cordura regular
Y me tendrán que inyectar
A ver si se me pasa un poco la manía
Esa patología de pensar
Que un día tú no vas a estar
Me desenfoca
Me vuelve bipolar
No abra psicoanálisis que valga
No abra Valium si tú faltas
Que reemplace tus caricias
No me salvaría ni Sigmund Freud
Tampoco una regresión
Quiero curarme con tu risa (Devuélveme mi autonomía)
Br
(Instrumental)
Atrápame en tu cuerpo de Alcatraz
Para que no me escape más
Quiero sedarme con tus besos
Dame del remedio de tu amor
Del litio de tu corazón
Hospitalízame en tu pecho

About
Music is the Answer
Native Dominican, Fred was born and raised in Santo Domingo.
Living in the Capital and in New York City part time, his passion for music began at an early age. As a toddler he was already playin piano by ear and it’s in his teenage years that he started singing and playing a new instrument, the guitar. Since then, Fred mastered many other instruments but guitar will always remain his favorite.
After being part of various bands, he formed his first professional band ‘Nativo’. A few years later he joined ‘Los Candidatos’ with who he toured the country. The band was fast recognized for their socially conscious lyrics, and quickly had two number-one hits on the radio in Dominican Republic, amongst them, the song ‘Yo naci en Santo Domingo’. The Dominican Republic Video Awards Organization, recognizes in 2016 the music video of that song as one of the 15 best music videos of the Dominican Republic history.
After the band split up, Fred moved to Punta Cana, where he started playing not only his original songs, but also Latin and international hits covers, that he interprets with no comparison, getting his music rapidly known in the local scene. He’s now offering over 200 shows a year in hotels, restaurants and bars.
His upbeat style and extraordinary versatility got him to perform at prestigious venues and events nationwide as well as in Canada, USA, and Mexico. Fred has shared the stage with many top Latin artists such as Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra, J Balvin, Nikky Jam, Chino y Nacho, Fonceca, amongst others and also participated to the 2015 and 2017 edition of the Heat Latin Music Awards. He won Best Band of Hard Rock Hotels Battle of the Bands contest in Punta Cana in 2017. Currently on a North American Summer Tour, Fred will also be recording his second album in early this fall. Passionate and hard worker, he strongly believes that music has a unique way of making the world a better place.

"Ahora vivimos la causa y el efecto a flor de piel",
